My dad died this morning.  I'll post more later.  I thank all of you for your prayers over the last few weeks and for your continued prayers for us now.

I'm very sorry to hear this. As you know, I rather liked your father. Cherish the good memories and let time wash the rest away.

Very sorry for your loss. I hope you find comfort in your friends and family, and in the memories you have of your dad.

I extend condolences, of course, and the hope that it was his Time. (I think the only thing worse than dying before one's Time is dying after it. He was about three years older than I am, which is close to the place things get iffy. Hey, at the St. Nectarios Church Greek Festival this coming weekend I might be spending almost as much time in the absolute gem of a Church as I will eating and (mostly watching) attending to the dancing, but it'll be a close thing, and I hope he was able to have as much fun in this world as he deserved. But then... I hope that for everyone.)

Oh, by the way... do you have (&/or know of) any ancestral family connections in or near Adrian, Michigan? Their area is near the Fitch one at Wolf Creek Cemetery, and I seem to have a photo-copy of a Smith family Bible births-and-deaths pages, dating back to c. 1812.
